There are two main issues when lifting the suspension or increasing the castor on the MK3 Ford Ranger and UA MK2 Everest.

When lifting the suspension the sway bar contacts the lower control arm due to the factory position now being at the rear of the suspension and arc of travel being different, and also when maximum castor is required the lower control arm is pushed outwards, contacting the sway bar. This is generally done when lifted or when larger wheels are installed to clear the guard at the back of the wheel arch.

The PSRRAN-005 Shortened Link Pin increases the clearance between the sway bar and lower control arm to fix this issue.

Check out our PSRRAN-006 - Ford Ranger PX MK3 8/18-ON Front Sway Bar Disconnect if you are looking to achieve increased articulation offroad by disconnecting the sway bar without having to remove it completely.
